A Witch's Dictionary is Sarah Kennedy's fifth book of poetry.
Kevin Prufer called it ..
"One of the most unsettling, timely, and technically marvelous new books I've read in a long, long time.
Sarah Kennedy is unafraid to tackle the enormous crises of our time - war, terror, official lies - and she does so with skill, macabre wit, energy and, most of all, complexity.
Sarah Kennedy has always been a poet of great skill and subtlety.
This is her best book yet.
" Sarah Kennedy is the author of six books of poems, including Home Remedies and A Witch's Dictionary.
She has received grants from the NEA and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, a contributing editor to Shenandoah and West Branch, her work has appeared in such publications as Prairie Schooner, Arts & Letters, and Pleiades.
She is an associate professor at Mary Baldwin College.
