Norway is the focus of this instalment, with special attention given to how sustainability increasingly plays a role in the nation’s current architectural practice.
It opens with an essay by Karl Otto Ellefsen on the national tourist routes in Norway, accompanied by detailed profiles of representative works by Reiulf Ramstad Architects, Carl-Viggo Hølmebakk, Jensen & Skodvin Architects and others.
Following is a piece by Halvor Weider Ellefsen and Mirza Mujezinovic on the interplay between convention and customisation, with examples like the Vennesla Library and Culture House by Helen & Hard, Statoil Offices by a-lab and the new Oslo Central Station by Space Group.
